For daytime work, the security officer should wear an orange, yellow or green high visibility vest.
For work at night, vests should be retro-reflective. The retro-reflective material should be orange, yellow, white, silver, strong yellow-green, or a fluorescent version of one of these colors and shall be visible at a minimum at a distance of 1,000 feet.
The vest shall be designed to identify clearly the wearer as a person controlling traffic and be visible through the full range of body motions.
