By purchasing, enrolling in, or using any SGM product or service, including DVDs, training programs, online courses, and security company templates, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Terms Specific to Online Students and Product Purchasers

By enrolling in our Video On Demand (VOD) or Academy online programs, or purchasing any SGM training product including DVDs, templates, or other instructional materials, you agree to the following additional terms.

Access and Usage

Access to the course content is provided solely for your personal use and is non-transferable. Sharing your login credentials or course materials with others is strictly prohibited.

Content Protection

All materials, including videos, documents, and exams, are protected by copyright and may not be downloaded, copied, shared, or redistributed in any form without prior written consent.

Technical Requirements

Students are responsible for ensuring they have a reliable internet connection and compatible devices to access the course materials.

Certification

Certificates of completion are awarded upon completing all required course steps and passing the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.

Licensing and Regulatory Compliance

SGM’s training programs, videos, and online courses are designed for educational purposes only and do not constitute official certification, licensure, or legal authorization to work as a security guard. It is the responsibility of the user and/or their employer to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding security guard licensing, certification, and employment eligibility. SGM does not guarantee that completion of any course will meet specific state or regulatory requirements. Users should check with their state licensing authority before enrolling in any training program.

Security Industry Standards & Employer Discretion

SGM’s training materials are based on industry knowledge but may not meet specific employer policies or state licensing standards. Employers and users must verify whether SGM’s content aligns with their requirements. SGM is not responsible for disciplinary actions, licensing denials, or employment issues.

Content Disclaimer and Jurisdictional Compliance

SGM’s training programs, courses, videos, templates, and materials are designed for informational and educational purposes only. They reflect the views, experiences, and training methodologies of SGM and do not constitute legal, professional, business, or security advice. Users are responsible for consulting with their own legal counsel, compliance officers, or industry professionals before implementing any practices or policies based on the provided materials.

Security laws, industry standards, and best practices vary by jurisdiction and employer policies. Users must ensure that the training content aligns with their local laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and employer policies. If any content contradicts applicable laws or company policies, users should disregard and not implement such content.

SGM is not responsible for any legal, operational, or compliance issues arising from the use of its materials. By using SGM’s products, users agree that they are solely responsible for determining the applicability of the training to their circumstances.

Refunds and Cancellations

All sales are final. SGM does not provide refunds for any online Academy courses, Video On Demand (VOD) programs, DVDs, training programs, templates, or any other products once purchased. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this regardless of usage or completion status. Unauthorized chargebacks or disputes after online program access is granted will be contested, and SGM may suspend user accounts or take legal action if necessary.

Non-Guarantee of Results

Completion of courses or use of any SGM product does not guarantee specific results, employment opportunities, or business success.

General Terms and Conditions

The SGM website (the “Site”), including SGMtraining.com and SGMNow.com, consists of various web pages operated by Security Guard Management (“SGM”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to abide by these Terms without modification. A copy of these Terms should be retained for your records.

SGM provides e-commerce services, including more than 40 Online Security Officer Training Videos, DVDs, training templates, and instructional materials.

Users of SGM’s training materials are not employees, agents, or representatives of SGM. Use of the content does not establish an employer-employee relationship, and SGM is not responsible for wages, benefits, or liabilities related to applying the training materials.

Initial VOD and Academy Procedures

Upon purchasing the VOD or Academy program, immediate access to the training library will be granted. Within 24 business hours (excluding weekends and holidays), you will receive a customized link for employees to sign up for free memberships under your account.

Important:

Do not share your personal login information as it includes billing and credit card details. Only distribute the customized link.

Employees will gain access to the training library but will not see your billing or payment details.

Employee and Student Access

  • Employee sign-up links are valid for 30 days on VOD and 60 days on Academy. Renew links are available free of charge by requesting a new link or an extension via support@sgmtraining.com.
  • VOD access is unlimited for up to 200 employees per month; additional blocks of 200 monthly employees cost $119.
  • Academy access is unlimited for up to 200 employees per month; additional blocks of 200 monthly employees cost $169.
  • SGM reserves the right to modify pricing with prior notice to active customers.

Content Usage Restrictions

SGM content is protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use, copying, resale, or redistribution of videos, exams, DVDs, templates, or any other materials is strictly prohibited.

Subscription Terms

Subscriptions renew automatically every 30 days from the purchase date. Failure to process payment will result in account termination, and all student and employee data is removed.

Cancellation

Cancel anytime via your account dashboard or by emailing support@sgmtraining.com. Email cancellations are valid only after you receive confirmation from SGM.

Right to Modify or Discontinue Services

SGM reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue any training program, streaming service, LMS course, DVD product, or template at its discretion. Users will be notified of major changes but agree that SGM is not liable for any inconvenience, loss of access, or business impact resulting from such modifications.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SGM, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

All disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act. Each party bears its own costs.

Class Action Waiver

Disputes must be filed individually. No class, collective, or representative actions are permitted.

Liability Disclaimer

All information, products, and services provided on the Site are offered “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. SGM disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Site use.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

By purchasing, enrolling in, or using any SGM products or services, the user (including students, business customers, and individuals) agrees that these Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
