Seasonal Decorations and Fire Hazards

As a security officer, your post instructions may require you to Inspect holiday decorations for potential safety hazards, such as the electrical cords and flammable materials.  Any hazards found would you require to notify the customer and your supervisor immediately, and to follow up with a detailed incident report filed.

If you are required to inspect decorations, it’s a good idea to conduct safety checks regularly during the holiday season.

It’s a good practice to ensure that emergency exits and pathways are clear, and not blocked by any holiday decorations or displays.
